چکیده
Abstract The effect of milorganite, a commercially available organic soil amendment, on nutrients, plant growth, and yield has been investigated. However, its hydraulic properties remains less understood. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the milorganite amendment evaporation, moisture retention, conductivity, electrical conductivity Krome soil. A column experiment was conducted with two application rates (15 30% v/v) non-amended control results revealed that reduced evaporation length Stage I process compared control. Moreover, increased retention at saturation permanent wilting point while decreasing conductivity. In addition, Overall, resulted in retention; however, may not be readily for plants due salinity.

Effects of biochar amendment on soil aggregates and hydraulic properties
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of biochar amendment on soil aggregate formation and stability, and soil hydraulic properties. Biochar produced from dairy manure was added to two different soils (a silty clay and a sandy loam soil) at a ratio of 2% (w/w in dry weight basis). Incubation experiments were conducted within a 90-d period with the soils (the controls) and the soi...
متن کاملChanges in Soil Physical Properties Due to Organic Waste Applications: A Review
Land application of organic wastes such as animal manure, municipal wastes, and sewage sludge could alter the soil physical properties. Repeated substantial applications of waste increase the soil organic matter percentage. The available data on effects of waste applications on soil physical properties such as bulk density, water holding capacity at both field capacity and wilting point, and sa...
